Open Source Enterprise Content Management Provider Firms Up Growth Plans Ahead of UK Product Launch
eZ Systems, the open source enterprise content management (ECM) company, has announced a $5million dollar first round in venture capital funding. The offer from Norwegian-based investment company BTV Invest was chosen from a number potential investors to secure eZ Systems’ financing needs for its ambitious global expansion plans without compromising the company’s core values.
“As an open source company we could not allow pressure from shareholders to compromise our business model and our commitment openness, collaboration and sharing information with our partner network and broader ecosystem,” comments Aleksander Farstad, CEO of eZ Systems. “We are pleased with the new investors and feel comfortable with their understanding of our model. The founders and employees have also managed to maintain a significant majority shareholding to ensure there is no compromise to the eZ values.”
